Self care, where to start

It seems that “self-care” is all the talk. To me, it’s not just about a fresh mani (but, you feel like you can conquer the world when you’ve got one, am I right?!) or spending money on fancy things. Yes, we all love those things, and I will never give up my once a month facials. Never.  But, it’s about loving yourself enough to make time and put forth effort to improving your mental and physical self, and making choices and habits that will stick with you long-term. And that might mean doing absolutely nothing sometimes. Yep, I said it, doing nothing.

Plant love

I have a huge place in my heart for all my plants both indoor and outdoor. I enjoy taking care of them and watching them grow and bloom! I love having plants indoor because they brighten up a space, provide an instant mood boost, reduce stress and clean the air! I think I have one in every room of our home now. You can never have too much green IMO.

Superfood smoothie add-ins

When I first started making smoothies years ago, it was tough deciding what superfoods I wanted to add in and keep my smoothie balanced and nutritious. It can be really confusing with all the superfoods, adaptogens, collagen, plant protein, beauty water — literally ALL THE THINGS.

Morning Routine

Either you run the day or the day runs you.

There are a couple of things that are non-negotiable for me, sleep and routine. They set you up for success and set the tone for all areas of life. Every single morning looks almost identical for me.

My morning routine actually starts the night before, and I am not even going to tell you it is easy…but no phone for at least 30 minutes before lights out.  We are all guilty of mindless scrolling, and it’s the biggest time waster ever. I follow this into my morning. I want to be a dictator of my time, not a reactor. Plus, I want to make the most of my time and be as productive as possible.
